I Need some help fallout "unknown error code 11"

Post » Thu Jun 03, 2010 11:38 pm

I had fallout 1 working 3-4 months ago, won, and deleted it, and now I want to play again, and it keeps saying I need something like derctx 3.0a and it won't install it, so I tried to go around and I keep getting "unknown error code 11"

Shouldn't have deleted it in the first place.

I really do need help with this.

IIRC, Fallout will not install on WinNT, Win2K and above, using the installer on the CD, but its an easy matter to simply copy the files from the CD, manually update the config file, and run the game.

There might still be a tutorial for this on NMA.

Really? I installed Fallout 1 and 2 on my XP system with no problems. I've since uninstalled them since I no longer play them, but I never had any issues with installing.

XP is above 2k, isn't it?

Technically? Yeah... XP came next; But I wouldn't call it an improvement over Win2k in the least.
