Cycle Targets in the VATS targeting system - PS4

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 10:59 pm

Fallout 4 arrived yesterday, and I like it a lot, but I think the game was written for people that know how to play the previous games.

For example, when I go into VATS, during a fight I am supposed to be able to cycle targets (parts of the body I am trying to hit), but I am unable to make that change. There is an instruction at the bottom right of the screen that says "Cycle Targets" with an "R" next to it. I have tried R1, R2 and R3, and none of them do anything to cycle the target. Can someone kindly tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thank you.

R is for Right stick.

Do push it, move it.

I pushed the right stick in and moved it around, I still can only shoot torso, in any given situation. I must be doing something wrong, but am unable to figure out what, so far. Thanks for your suggestion.

I wanted to say Do "not" push it, move it. It's for changing the people you are targeting.

And to cycle between part, it's the left stick.

PS: It dosn't work in melee if I remember well.

OK, it turned out that you push the right stick in, while you use the left stick to select the various regions of the main target. Thanks for helping.
