Fallout 4 really needs the option to toggle aim on PC.

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 1:59 am

Please in a future update add the option to use toggle aim. It's impossible to play with hold to aim and adding an option hurts no one it only helps the people who can only play with toggle aim. So please In a future update add an option for toggle aim.

If you agree please comment so Bethesda can see this feature is needed.

I agree more options are always welcome. While they are at it let us customize all key bindings.

Why can't you hold the right mouse button? Are you playing with only one finger?

I only say this because you said "It's impossible to play with hold to aim..." which I find very hard to believe unless you are physically missing a all your fingers on your mouse hand.

I have nerve damage in my right hand so my ring finger can only click not hold. And I hate binding ads to any other key but rmb. This should be a standard feature anyways in a 2015 AAA title, I shouldn't have to ask for this it should be in by default.

I would find it pretty annoying to have "aim" be a toggle as opposed to having to hold the button down. Much like I hate when games have a "crouch" toggle, or Fallout 4's "sprint" toggle.

But, yes, if you have a condition which prohibits it, then I could see the usefulness.

I don't think my condition is a factor in this. I have friends who can't stand hold to aim either and they have fully working hands. If I really wanted I would map space to ads and use that that's not the point. The point is that toggle aim is a default feature in any big AAA title and it is absent in fallout. It's a big thing to leave out when your making a game that requires you to shoot a lot of stuff
And even then I'm not asking for the game to be only toggle aim just simply give us the option for those who can't play with hold to aim.

No matter the reason why someone ask for it, it should be in the game. I am personally annoyed by the "toggle sprint" instead of "hold to sprint". It should be configurable.

It may be worth trying a program called auto hotkey. I used it to remap the pause key for company if heroes, it seemed quite advanced though so it may help you with toggle keys as well.

Sorry for the three posts about this guy's it was a mistake, I am on a mobile and I thought my post weren't being made so I kept making them then all of a sudden all three showed up.

Already tired a toggle aim script with auto hot key, doesn't work.

I honestly thought it was a hold function and treated it as such. Not noticed anything different.

Sure, lets make a list of everything that "should be a standard feature in a 2015 AAA title" and see how little of a game we actually get because the developers are too busy adding everything that people feel "should" be in it.

Im sorry you have nerve damage, but that is no reason to expect a particular feature in a game. Also considering the capability of macros, I wouldn't be surprised if you could achieve any functionality you wished. Also many gaming mice have side buttons, you could remap the right mouse button to one of those (Via their software).

We aren't talking about a massive gameplay feature that will take hours to make. I'm just asking for a simply little change that give players options. Please don't tell me this is unreasonable, because it really isn't.

if you're using mouse, you are on PC and likely using windows. Just use windows built in option for managing accessability fratures.

You can change stuff that was designed expressly for people with your stated condition - e.g. Changing keystrokes from push and hold to single depress that auto holds, push to hold mouse changed to single depress.
