Title pretty much says it, im not talking about moving junk from worktop to worktop but the scrap such as wood, steel, rubber etc needed to build walls etc. Its annoying because i want to build at the red rocket station but have extremelly limited scrap i.e i only have 2 steel at red rocket but over 500 at sanctuary. thanks

Sounds like, You need a perk and to set up a supply route or go to sanctuary, load up with stuff and carry it to the gas station yourself. Steel and wood are not as heavy as you'd think so carrying over 50-100 shouldn't be too cumbersome.
