So i see in videos and threads you can ask Dogmeat to find items etc. But i cant figure out how.

If i press E, if im not close, i can point to an area and send him.

If im close, i get the 4 arrows like a chat, with trade, follow/stay, talk and cancel.

How do i get to the other commands ? Its really annoying me!

TALK to him, then ask him to find something.

But think when I've chosen it before, he just barks? Or maybe I've assumed hits just to make him 'talk'. Hope this works, he's pretty useless as is lol.

AFAIK, if you are able so send him to an area, then you are also able to send him for an item. As soon as the cursor reaches a carriable item, it changes and allows you to do so. The thing is, you can send him to much farther itzems then you can see otherwise - I got a stimpak fifteen seconds after joining with him...
