Powering houses

Hi,

I don't understand how power works. From what I've seen in youtube videos, you put a connector on a house wall, then set up lamps inside the house and they will draw power from that connector. But it doesn't seem like the whole house gets wired, only part of it. Example, trying to power my former home in Sanctuary across the road from the crafting house:

The lamp by the door is on, the one in the first half of the room is too, but the one on the kitchen side isn't. Not to mention any of the rooms don't get power either. Do we really have to link up 3-4 generator to a single house to light it up properly?

Its not a generator problem its a (I think the word is) conduit problem. They have an invisible radius that provide power to. My solution is to run conduits every so often on the outside to blanket the inside with power. Just remember to wire the conduits to the generator or pylon. (Not sure if the pylon is necessary)
