I'm trying to find the dog again, but i could not.

also lost dogmeat never got him back. who knows where he went. Really stupid there is no way to just bring up a menu and choose our party like every other RPG game ever made.

can someone help please ?

He went back to red rocket station for me (or wherever you had him assigned). I actually did lose Codsworth though. I haven't seen him since probably doing the first mission with Preston Garvey. He is nowhere to be found in Sanctuary. I guess he must be in robot heaven.

Anyone know if we can ever get the dog back?

If youre able to open the console, refer to http: //fallout. wikia. com /wiki for getting the Ref-ID of the Companion you wan to find. Then goto your console and enter the following:

prid moveto player

Check all doghouses in sactuary, there are a few...

and remove all doghouses you don't need, if you need to buy a second, put it next to the other doghouse.

Got rid of all the doghouses so where does the dog go how will we ever find it again?

Sanctuary has 3 dog houses that I could find, and one of those is tucked behind a wrecked house up along the circle road section. Took me forever to figure out that was where he kept spawning.

This happened to me yesterday after the same quest. He was at the drive-in before he appeared for the quest, but he never went back. I've checked every settlement, and every dog house (there were 4, I think, in Sanctuary), but he's nowhere Typically this happened just after I found some amazing dog armour!

I lost my companion too, his name was Preston Garvey and he refuses to speak to me beyond saying "General" or "Sir?" but before that he vanished into thin air. I'm level 25 and I've had to use Codsworth this whole time and he's starting to piss me off. Every time he says "Sir?" he says it in such a way that I just made some bad fart joke... dude fart jokes are funny!

I only found one doghouse where are these other doghouses? Is there any tutorials or online strategy guides to get the dog back?

I lost him after the same mission. He vanished into the waste.

That quest bugged dogmeat for me. He didn't travel back to sanctuary, but stayed at the location that was discovered during that quest. Solving the following quest resolved it.

Yep! that did it, he was in the doghouse behind the house with the cookstation near the bridge. you just saved me alot of time

He's probably in one of the dog houses just hanging out. You need to look closely because sometimes he's hard to see and in a house that seems too little. If you still can't find him, ring the bell.

Personally I don't care for the Dog.. I use Strong with a Super Sledge. Very entertaining

On topic though...

After I got him (Dogmeat), I dismissed him immediately to Sanctuary, but after dumping load after load of junk and weapons there, I noticed I hadn't seen Dogmeat one time there...

I did some digging, and discovered there are literally like... 5 dog houses in Sanctuary. So I deleted all but one, and relocated it closer to my workshop. Check Sanctuary for all of the Dog Houses. You'll probably find him in one of them there.
