First, you readers should know I am hostile to this game, very disappointed as of so far.

I need to talk to an NPC in Sanctuary in order to continue the game. He however is on the blanking roof so now what. There is no way up there, the building can not scraqed and nothing is tall enough to get up there.

I suppose it would have been nice for the $90.00 I paid for this seemingly stupid game, To have gotten some kind of manual! I mean not even the full controls are listed most of which you cant even map to your needs, liking, etc..

Try sleeping. Try entering a new cell and exiting back out. Save and reload. Surely he isn't just staying up there forever.

I doubt the manual would teach you how to get around bugs like this..

I understand the a manual would not help with this, I was just ranting, sorry. At least you confirmed that this is a bug and that I was not missing something.

LeBurns I have tried all that, I have been as far as the next town and cleared it as well, still up there.

Same happen to me last night. I just built some stairs and reached the roof no problem I was able to continue. Some time later he was back on the ground and I scrapped the stairs

ive had the old woman marth, and je long (or whatever hes called) on roofs that cant be got at.

i slept in a bed for 24hrs straight and they came back to ground.

PC or Console??? bc u can move everything with console command on PC

Cool I did try to build steps but it would not let me. I just figured I could not, maybe, I need more resources although I could build steps at the rocket station. I will try again thanks

Buy the way can anyone tell me why my "Quotes" are not showing here?

Bring up the console, type "tcl" (without quotes). This turns off collision detection (which also means you can fly)

or u can open console. type "Prid" click the character, and then type "moveto player"

Ok I got it. It seams that I was just short on resources. I thought I read on the internet that your resources followed you. I guess they do not. That is why I could build steps at the rocket station but not in Sanctuary. As soon as I erected the steps the NPC's. that were up there came down.
