I find the lack of Adhesives disturbing.

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 4:06 am

Seriously, this is absurd. every haul i make back to sanctuary, and im talking 350 lbs or whatever fallout weight capacity is, i get like 20 adhesives at best, and more often than not less. but every upgrade requires 4-8 now and im level 20! I tried to buy a shipment from diamond city but 2.5 grand for 25???

ugh

anyone find any big stashes of adhesive?

Any reliable source of purified/dirty water to help with this?

Adhesive is meant to be rare, even says it in one of the tips. Go to a junk vendor if you're that desperate.

Stuff your settlement makes "seems to" get stored into the Workbench system. I swear if I have enough game days pass a whole lot of Purified Water will show up under the aid section of the workbench and I do have my character sleep a lot....I also really take my time playing with the build section of settlements so I think I have seen this happen enough. Also selling produce seems to be enough to help get by when I need some caps but settlements are kinda expensive when I am trying to gear myself up.

Wow that's awesome that we can grow/cook to make adhesive. That was really one of my larger complaints about the crafting. Even having adhesive as marked to find it was hard to gather a decent amount more than just a mod or two

Yeah. It's kind of funny that some of the loot I get most excited about finding is Duct Tape or Wonderglue. :celebrate: I think it is a pretty realistic depiction of how valuable I would find a roll of duct tape in the apocalypse though!

Adhesives are the new oil.
Wraps a full pack of duct tape around pipe rifle stock.

Oil is hard to come by too. Can you grow stuff for it like you can with the adhesive?

Yes, at a chem station you can create something called "cutting fluid" or whatever. I believe cutting fluid counts 5 oil or something like that.

I love that it isn't easily available if you just rely on looting.....

I have a lot of money and my character isn't even built for charisma, lockpicking or to be a mule. For a long time, my Luck was 1

But yes, sometimes some dreary shopping is needed - but usually there is a convenient mission or side mission to go exploring for loot

Which one fo the crafting stations is this made on? I would hazard a guess at the chem work bench.

I also like to talk to people while I'm back at my main settlement ("Hey I'd like to trade with you") and they seems to have respawning inventory. You can freely pick their stuff. I am not sure if it's because I have a Scavenging Station with 1 person assigned to it, but I get ammos and random junk from them every now and then.
