Companion relationships?

Thank you, I think it was pumping Mama Murphy with Jet and Psycho for the Sight cause I can't resist doing it. I recongize she might die at some point maybe as a result. I'm doing more mod crafting or crafting in general and he approved when I unlocked the perks.

Bethesda: "Oh, you want t romance Nick Valentine/male synths? Ew, no; that's gross. Here's Curie, a Mrs Handy."

.... God dammit, Bethesda.....

Codsworth is a lost cause, no sense of wasteland morality whatsoever.

Strong, Hancock and Cait I don't think are particularly moral.

*ahem*

Spoiler
Paladin Danse

But I agree, Nick not being a romance option is just cruel.

To be fair, she becomes Angelina Jolie in Hackers at the end of her quest.

Alas, those hoping for tentacle six and Mister Fisto are out of luck.

I appreciate the sentiment and all, but it would never work out between us.

That would be a cool expansion content quest.

Get Nick upgraded to be a non-rubber-skin zombie.

...

Then again, there's a ghoul romance so what do I know?

She actually reminds me a lot of Cass from DAI, even her accent. Can't be a coincidence.

Actually... well, yeah, this, basically. They already went there, so why not. And at least Nick has more personality than most of the other male options combined...

Yeah it's a shame. Nic is more life-like then the other male companions. And frankly, more fun. And his story and quest are interesting too. Shame I can't get him a skinjob and do him. Hell, forget the skinjob. ;_)

Danse and I just wouldn't work out. I"d end up trying to kill him or him kill me. I love too much. He hates too much. I think on my next play-though I will play a BoS type of character through-and-through.

I'm actually curious, since I haven't done Danse's companion/romance deal yet... how does it work? Since...

Spoiler
you have to join the BoS (right..?) to do his 'reveal' thing, but then he has to leave the BoS... and if he stays available as a companion/romance option, and you stay loyal to the BoS (do you have to?), doesn't that make for one... unhealthy relationship? :P I mean, you dedicate yourself to the eradication of all synths, and he, well... So, is that how it goes?

Its not just

synths the BoS hate. But everything non-human; ghouls (even non-feral), mutants - basically anything they can't control. Playing though the quests you begin to realize that the BoS isn't exactly their to save the Commonwealth. The rank and file believe they are, but not the leadership. Thats the feeling I got.

Well, yeah, that goes without saying, but I'm curious as to how the game reconciles having a BoS member PC with an

Spoiler
ex-Brotherhood synth romance... so, you commit to the cause of eliminating all ghoul, mutant and synth presence from the wasteland, and your exiled by the Brotherhood synth lover is a-ok with that? Like I said, I haven't done that questline yet, so I'm just wondering.

I like how the story is paced because you only hear Elder Maxson's speech about how Synths are evil and must be destroyed because of Skynet after Valentine shows he's one of the nicest men in the Wasteland.

To be fair, hypocrisy is far from unknown in military dictatorships as well as exceptions being made.
