Help me build a rush character

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 6:51 pm

I'm about to leave Vault 111 and have the last chance to rebuild my character...

I do not want to spend so much time & dioptries :nope: as I did in previous instalments... To say it brutally I want to rush through the game, do only main story quests ( I can set very easy if you think it would be needed) and eventually side missions which are very useful to beat the game (like getting enclave armor  or bobbleheads).

1.I'm not sure if I understand new SPECIAL - statistics are only for perks ? If not how much my critical chance, HP per level, % Xp gained change with each every point added to Luck, END and INT change ?

2.As I read "guides" they give very little Agility and a lot of Luck, it is not "fallout-wise" in my book but is it accurate for F4 ?

3. Do I need inteligence &charisma if I want to beat the game fast without side missions ?

4. Is such a build appropriate for finishing the game easily& fast : ST1 Per4 ENd 5 Ch3 Int 3 Ag 9 Luck 2 (please feel free to propose changes) . I'm thinking about machine weapons + laser weapons (when I grab them)

5. Which optional side missions are recommended for me ?

Have a great weekend in the wasteland ! I will resume playing after your tips.

The Special Tree works like this.

The first row is the characteristic and how good you are at it out of 10.

Everything below is a perk. The lower down the per row you get, the higher you need to be in that characteristic.

When you level up you can increase your characteristic, unlock a perk, or strengthen a perk.

If your strength is 5/10 and you want to use a perk that needs 7/10 then put your first 2 levelling points into increasing your strength to 7/10 and your 3rd levelling point into activating that perk.

You can make a perk stronger by putting an extra point into it instead of selecting a new perk or increasing a characteristic.

So now that you understand how the tree works, set your stats up based on that.

Perception and Agility both have a significant impact on shooting skills so pay extra attention to these columns.

You want to rush?

You're probably going to die. There is no level scaling in the game but generally the further away you get from your starting point the higher the level of your enemies.

Don't fuss too much over building the perfect settlement and concentrate on missions and you will hopefully get the experience you're after.

Hope that helps.

Az

If you wanted a Rush character, Just crank up the intelligence.... Oh, you mean a rushed character instead of a character from a short-lived TV series called Stargate: Universe ;)

The only perks that I'm strongly interested in are :

awareness, action boy, toughness, life giver

tell me which other are essential (no interest in crafting, barter and exploration)

Are there any "requirements" known like having 6 INT in Fallout 2 to make a shortcut at the end?

About Intelligence - have you figured out how much more exp you get per point ? I can go even 10 INT if it helps a lot. Or 10 LUCK. I'm open for suggestions. If agility is more about perks I can cut it down significantly (it would sound stupid a few years ago...).

And equip him with something modern like power armor and energy weapons.

?

Nobody can give me a special - perk pattern made specifically to beat the game ?

Or even side mission list that are crucial in boosting your character ?

In fallout 2 we had it all figured out in slightest details... Ofc most of you own the game for only few days, but there are plenty of people who had already finished it or are so far in story that know already what is over or underpowered.

Fallout 4 is a banquet not a burger.

It's been out only a few days.

I've played 44 hours and have covered maybe 20% of the map,

(the North-West corner without getting deeply into downtown Boston).

At this rate, I'll be past 200 hours by the time I'm done...

So what is new ? Have you beaten the game finally ;) ? I would like to start playing too,but I want to spend up to 30hrs on it. Once again - what is the good character build to progress fast in story ?

There are guys claiming to beat it in 19 hours ( how long to beat).

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I totally don't get why anyone would play a game like F4 and then use some else's build - kind of an oxymoronic gameplay style.

But each to his own - no-one has the right to tell anyone else how to play.

I have had this >100hours banquet 4 times already.

Finding clues and "breaking" the game was a part of fallout series - I'm surprised you seem to know little about it and just keep wandering randomly. Especially that I do not want to find holy hand grenade but simply want to know which skills & atributes are most useful in 4th part.
