out in the wasteland it can become a chore having to load your inventory (not even with everything you come across) and then fast travelling somewhere.

in fo3 etc yould go mitigate some of the burden by using weapons to repair eachother, subsequently lessening the load and also increasing value of weaps. etc.

i would have liked a high level perk that allowed you to scrap anywhere into constituant parts.

parts would still weigh something, but nowhere near the amount that the item itself weighed.

or even a high level perk that reduces the weight of all carried junk to 0.1 pounds per item.

Or have your settler assigned to some kind of scavenger squad. Like you would mark objects in some exterior/interiors (a certain limit of marked objects ofcourse) and the scavenger squad would be sent out to scavenge. Not just junk objects, but tires/toilets/cars etc. like you can do inside your settlement in "build mode". Perhaps they wouldn't have to physically go there, but rather be gone for maybe a day. So a day later you have the items in your inventory. But that sounds like an awful lot of work for a feauture and perhaps it's only me that likes it :D
