I was sticking with short range reflex sights and med scopes for most part to save on resources.

But trying out recon scopes was for me a major improvement. Definitely worth it just for the auto tagging of targeted critters, raiders, etc.

Only issue I have with sights in this game is based on gun type, you can't really put on the sight you want - for example the 10MM has a really nice reflex circle that doubles as both glow sight and nice short to med range sight - easily able to snap shots off at in your face close short, or med combat range.

The backup for when ammo is low using .38 pipe pistol is decent, but the reflex sight choices on it are terrible. Wish I could just pop the 10MM reflex or shotgun reflex site onto the pipe pistol and rifle.

If resources are no issue then the short recon scope is my new fav for close to normal CQC range combat, and med recon for everything else.
