Odd Performance Issues with the ASUS ROG G750JZ

I've been having some very odd performance issue ever since the game launched last week, I'll explain what they are exactly in just a few moments.

First off, let me start by sharing my laptop specifications.

Setup: ASUS Republic of Gamers G750JZ

Chipset: Intel? HM87 Express Chipset

CPU: Intel i7-4710HQ @ 2.50GHz

Memory: 32 GB DDR3L MHz SDRAM

Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio - With latest available drivers from Realtek

SYS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit) - With latest updates installed

Nvidia Optimus:

Dedicated GPU: Nvidia GTX 880M @ 2500 MHz - With latest drivers installed - 359.00

Integrated GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600 - With latest drivers available from Intel

Already troubleshot:

-Power settings set to high performance.

-Nvidia profile set to use high performance GPU (880M)

Now that, that's out of the way.

The issue I'm experiecing is overall bad framerates regardless of which graphical setting I'm using through the launcher. Now one might think that's natural because of optimization but heres the kicker.

My friend has the exact same laptop and setup. With the same installed drivers and version of windows and he is running the game smoothly without any issues at all.

We have compared GPU temperature and it's reads the same across the board. We've also monitored the fan-speed and CPU temperature and there is no noticeable difference.

I'm at my wits end and have tried every available fix that has been posted here, on reddit, the nvidia forums and the asus forums and nothing does any notable difference.

My friend is running the game at a solid 60 frames per second, at the high preset. And I'm barely scraping it by at 20-40 frames per second on the low preset.

I own an ASUS G750JM-T4109H, got rid of Win 8.1 and installed Win7. Quite different config and lower than your imo, but the game runs smoothly on what I would qualify as 'medium settings'. Aren't you running the game on your integrated GPU ?

No, the game does use the dedicated graphics card. I've tried "disabling" both to see the different and when using the Intel I'm only gaining about 2-10 FPS. So I'm fairly sure that it uses the dedicated.

Also I have set the game to use the dedicated card through nvidia control panel.

Start looking at the differences maybe? What background program/services do you have installed?
