False promises

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 12:10 pm

my biggest mistake yet was getting aboard the hype train, because I expected so much more from this game. I can see a game that is practically finished but in reality isn't.

with the release from skyrim to fallout 4 Bethesda shows us awesome and amazing footage, and after all when you get the game you're sweet with it for a month until you want more and you have to wait for a season pass including the modding kit to get released, as if they intended to make the map average size compared to what was expected and then expect your loyal fans and community to fill the gaps that could have been easily prevented. what I find strange is that after skyrim and 5 years of waiting for something new from bethesda I get the same kind of experience and same disappointment.

Because of this I cannot enjoy vanilla bethesda games anymore, because there are so much flaws I just feel like quitting the game until BGS releases their kit and the mods fix all the problems it should not have.

''doesn't change the fact that I will keep playing this game, its just a heads up''

What exactly were these "false promises" the title mentions? The body of your post never follows up on the premise promised.

Op, don't give up just yet. The game is not even a week old. Bethesda are going to produce a lot of patches, and perhaps even a free hd texture pack plus the dlcs that will flesh out the overall game even more. And of course, the modders will make FO4 look like it is from another world.

I'm upset that the game has the same issues and flaws skyrim had 5 years ago, and to me its as if in those 5 years not much has improved from bethesda except the release of a new game. I'm tired though and I think I'm to tired to even type properly but I hope that you can see what I mean.

having played a modded New Vegas once more right before Fallout 4 was released, made F4 surpass all my expectations

it's better in almost every single aspect

the way the world is build,

the way the game looks,

the way the gun mechanics, vats works

the way crafting works,

how detailed interiors are,

the animations

everything is miles above what we had in F3, F:NV, Skyrim

I just don't see anything bad about the game so far, being ~25 hours in :/

it's close to perfection

No I see. My question was kind of answered when you addressed the title. I just don't think I read your post properly, as I'm pretty tired myself.

Anyways...

What do you mean by the flaws Skyrim had? Like... the bugs? Because that was a given. I really don't know what your concern is... the game is amazing. At least to me. There is so much stuff to do it's overwhelming. Like I'm 42 hours in and I've just made it to Diamond City.

I played vanilla Skyrim for 2 years before getting the DLCS, and then I played for another year and a half, right up until FO4's release. I mean, I've done everything in that damn game and I'm not sick of it. I play on consoles, so I never had the luxury of mods, but with mods coming to consoles... damn I don't think I will ever stop playing this game.

False promises?

Nope, I think Bethesda were pretty clear from the off, what was on offer.

It's not MGS in the wasteland - that game doesn't have tens of thousands of items in the world.
