Compass quit workinglow FPS

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:42 pm

The compass has quit working and turn totally transparent all the time unless you look at a intractable object when it functions normally again.

Anyone else had this issue?

Also, terrible FPS on my I7 4770K, r9 390X, 16gb of ram with the game on a SSD, windows 7 on a serrate SSD. Drops to sub 30 fps is common in many areas of the game unless dropping all the way down to low settings.

I'm guessing that it has been like this (the compass thing) since you updated with AMDs latest drivers.

The solution is to add a couple of files to the Fallout 4 dir. I can't post links so I PMed you the link instead.

I should say that I am not the one who came up with the fix, I'm only a messenger, but I use the fix myself and it works. Until AMD or Bethesda has solved it officially at least.

Edit :And now I can post a link. The link is to the nexusmod directly where you can download the dll files you need. Just put them (either the two 32bit or the two 64bit version of the fix) in the main folder for the game.
