Title pretty much says it. I can still use the console by using commas instead of spaces (dots don't work either) but it's still annoying when naming weapons.

I understand, but I still can't use spaces when naming Weapons and Armor.
Sounds like your spacebar is mapped to something else while playing the game. Are you using any third aprty key mapping SW? Are you using a controller with a mapping function in use? Does the spacebar work normally in game when not typing text?
Yes, I can still jump and everything. the dot also doesn't work.
That is very unusual. By *dot*, do you mean the period key? --> ..........
When you're in the console, hold down the Alt key and enter 20 on the numeric keypad. The keypad must be on (use numlock, if necessary) and you must not use the normal number keys atop the keyboard.
Does that produce a space in the console?
If so, try Alt 46 for the period.
As to why you are locked out of these keys within the console, but not the game, is baffling. I've not seen that before. Is your keyboard set to US in windows? If not, what keyboard are you using?
Yes, I mean period.
I just tried both the Alt options and they both didn't work. With or without numlock.
I tried other buttons and / also doesn't work. \ does work though.
I'm sorry mate, I've nothing else. The fact that you can't even pass ascii code to the console (the Alt functions) mystifies me. Obviously, these keys work in general, as you use them freely in this forum.
Do you have any older Beth games like Skyrim or FO3 or the like? If so, how did/does the console respond in those games?
Also, Alt 20 was wrong, I should have said Alt 32 for the space key. 20 is hex and 32 is its decimal equivalent. Alt 46 is still a period, though.
Did you install any mods, by chance?
Just for laughs, try running the game at a lower resolution and see if the console responds better, otherwise, I'm kind of out of ideas.
