After 80 hours of game time, Fallout now crashes on loading

I have had a blast so far in this game and have enjoyed every minute of it. So the pain of it crashing every time now is even more painful.

I have been playing on ultra for 80 hours here and there without a single crash thanks to my computer specs below:

GPU: Gtx 970

CPU: I7 4790K

Ram: 32 GB

OS: Windows 8.1

Drivers for everything have been up to date and I played with no issues until Saturday the 21st of Nov. I booted up to find there was a new user agreement on steam for Fallout 4 along with a very small update. Ever since then my game will open just fine and make it to the main menu with the garage and music playing and all that good stuff. The issue is that any time I try to load any of my saves or start a new game the game just hard crashes without any error message pop up. As you can imagine this is incredibly frustrating and to make it worse is that I have no idea what could be the issue. All my drivers are up to date, this same thing happens in windowless/ bordered mode, although it does freeze on the opening window with certain resolutions when the Fallout4.exe launches.

Im thinking that it was the small steam update that messed me up because I had been playing like normal only 12 hours before that. Im aware that there was something updated on the 20th but Im not sure what to do to fix the issue. Its probably one line of code somewhere, but until then im just sitting here missing out.

If needed I can post my Dxdiag file and answer any clarifying questions. I appreciate any advise you professionals can provide.
