...after 20 hours of gameplay!
Well, the game looks amazing and the story so far is very interesting. I've met the Brotherhood of Steel and the group of Preston, and they offer interesting side quests, even if the level required after the first quests in each group scales up very quickly. Right after the exit from vault 111 i found myself right into the action,
The animations are good and there is more variety, infact I can ground monsters or be grounded by them (i.e. by a pack of mongrels), but the quality is not excellent yet. The detail of textures on many faces of npcs is good, very poor in others (i.e. Mama Murphy). Weapon and armor customization is wonderful, infact I can make many different improvements in various parts. Unfortunately some improvements exclude other ones. I wonder why we are not able to make and improve ammo on our own, this feature was present in New Vegas and it had been added even in Skyrim with the possibility to make arrows and bolts. This is a little weird!
The world is amazing, with huge buildings and structures to explore, and an amazing atmosphere. I haven't built any complex structures, but I have already to defend the few settlements I have freed from raiders, so I find a little bit frustrating, during a battle in location "A", to receive messages about settlements being attacked in location "B" or "C" far away from where I am at the moment.
At the moment my favourite weapon is a modified 10mm gun that fires multiple shots at a time, even if it is really easy to run out of ammo! XD
I felt a little of disappointment when I reached Diamond city... I found it too little, even if it is surrounded by numerous Boston buildings and structures. Maybe I am still too much in love with the scrap city of Megaton, that is one of the most charming housing places Bethesda as ever offered in their games.
Like in Skyrim and Fallout 3, the variety of forms of weapons and armor is not very rich, but I get used to it. I am very sorry to see again loading screens between many interiors and exteriors. I'm playing the game on a ps4 and I understand that consoles have very limited hardware possibilities that cannot be expanded at all, so if a developer/publisher wants to sell their games to the broadest range of market they have to make tough decisions concerning power demanding game features like seamless maps, but still... loading screens are boring. Very boring.
At the moment I stop here my commentary, I'm going to update it later when I'll have almost completed the main quest (at least).
Cya!
