As much as I admire CDPR I do not want any 17GB patches for FO4

i was talking about cdpr in general.

witcher 2 they remade the tutorial sections entirely from scratch

you wont find bethesda doing stuff like that.

Some users said it's 10 Gigs. Don't use the auto updater on GoG, just go to "More" and "Backup & Extras" and download the patch from there. And on Steam it is actually about 6.6GB. I think both servers used different methods for patching.

But still, this is one reason why I've put off TW3 for now because even a 10GB is too much for my weak ass internet speeds though still somewhat bearable than a 20+GB download. The other reason was because FO4 was just around the corner and I was really getting ready for it until Beth threw a curveball at me with the game being mostly a digital download.
