Sturdy Combat Armor

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:52 am

Where can one fine or buy this? Level requirement? Or can it be crafted with the 4th level of the Armorer perk? From the pictures in the guide, it looks much better and covers more of your character, then the regular combat armor you can find through out the wasteland.

Seen the one youtube video about Gunners Plaza. But I don't have my lockpick skill up, and saw some master locks in the video.

They're leveled drops. I've reached level 30 and I've started seeing them from mercs or Gunners.

Just found two pieces of sturdy combat armor at one of the merchants in Diamond City. I'm level 31 right now. I wonder though if there is any special combat gear, like the Black Ops and Commando pieces? They don't seem to be for sturdy combat armor. Maybe rank 4 of Armorer will allow me to do that.

I've seen Commando pieces sold at the prydwen..I still use the commando helmet I bought there..haven't paid much attention to drops lately..mostly been only grabbing ammo, and legendary stuff from dead enemies..

Yeah I seen the heavy version in the guide, but it looks a bit bulky. I want some protection, but want to be stealthy as well. So the Sturdy version might fit my character better. I've found three pieces so far, that raiders were wearing. Chest, right arm and left leg lol so many left legs I have found. Just need to complete the set now. Not getting any special effects on them is going to svck though.

This is one of the things that tick me off with the current system. I freaking hate how the light versions of this armor look. yet to get the heavier armors, we need to be level 30 or above? By then I am in power armor 24/7 as anything else is basically suicide. (I tend to neglect boring + dmg perks)

Has anyone dissected yet how luck impacts your armor finds? I know with a luck of 3 I was finding a great deal of sturdy combat armor. Yet another play I got one heavy combat piece off the mire queen at the castle.

I'm also now torn on whether to wear my combat armor or just go with the armored courser uniform. All the under armor you wear under combat armor, makes your character look way too bulky. Only the BoS Officier Uniform doesn't look so balky with this. Yet the shadowed combat armor chest piece is still greenish, and not quite as dark as the shadowed arms and legs. Very annoying! Let me colour match please lol

Vs increasing the difficulty, then picking perks to decrease the difficulty? Or that the survival mechanics are locked into bullet sponge setting? That unloading 10 rounds from a shotgun at an unprotected humans head at under 5 feet and not killing them is insane? The difficulty settings flat out don't make sense. And even if power armor wasn't required by that particular build, Why would I want to wait that late in the game for decent looking armor?

And if you noticed, I was not [censored]ing about the *stats* I couldn't care less about those, its actually a *downgrade* from my current legendary armor. Its about the armor that looks decent being locked behind a rather arbitrary level requirement. If I were only interested in stats, I'd simply use ballistic weave and come fairly close by level *25* opposed to level 50.

Well you literally [censored]ed about having to wear power armor all the time, but then you admitted to not using perks that make power armor less of a requirement.

???? Make this make sense.

Well, gee if you take a moment to stop cherry picking my argument, you would have noticed I mentioned that issue happened at higher levels. As in past level 30. So, we are supposed to wait to level 30+ to get a complete looking set of armor? Frankly I'd like to have a set of armor that looks nice before I complete a good portion of the game.

I'm not cherry picking, but we're clearly arguing about two different things here.

You gimped your character. Then [censored]ed about how you can't go anywhere without power armor. What does that have to do with having cool armor?

Anyways I got about level 35 before doing any main quests and only a few side quests. Radiant quests and crafting.

I can't produce charts and graphs but I have 11 luck on my lvl 57 character. For legendary items rng is rng. Most of those are vendor trash anyway, nothing legendary about them. For normal loot everthing I kill has heavily modded gear except animals/ghouls that don't drop anything but aid/junk items anyway. I had so many good guns and armor pieces stowed away at my home site it was causing massive framerate drops when I'd go near my storage area. Sooo I started handing the stuff out to settlers and now I sell and scrap whatever I'm not immediately using. Pretty amusing to show up for settlement "defense" battles now too. Every attacker is vaporized in a couple seconds. I'm pretty sure I have the most dangerous army in the Commonwealth now.
