Does anyone know for CERTAIN what "non-automatic" me

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 3:49 pm

To All,

So I am trying to figure out the perks and some of them say good with "non-automatic" weapons. However, there are NO examples of this.

Are they refering to non-"fully"-automatic weapons, which is what I would presume, OR are they refering to non-"semi"-automaic weapons AND non-"fully"-automatic weapons?

I get that a bolt action rifles is non automatic, but the .45 cal combat rifle is only semi-automatic, so would this perk apply to it or does the "semi" part qualify?

I haven't seen any lever action rifles as I did in Fallout New Vegas, so I don't know if they don't exist or I simply haven't encountered them.

I DO wish they would have had a weapons expert consulting who is also good at communications so I wouldn't have to ask such a question, but here I am.

Your input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Crapgame

If you press the button down and it continues to fire its an automatic. Don't try to over think this.

Semi-automatics fall under Rifleman, Pistols or what have you.

If you attach a modification to one of those weapons converting it into an automatic then it is effected by the Automatic Perk, simple really.

Pretty much any gun that doesn't have automatic in it's name in the game. Also what Gamerfever said.

any weapon that requires pressing the trigger for each shot/burst is non-automatic in FO4

any weapon that gives continuous fire when trigger is held is automatic

Thanks folks. As I said, that is what I thought but could not find confirmation anywhere.

I guess I was using too much knowledge as most pistols (except revolvers) are considered in modern parlance semi-"automatic" weapons.

They appear to be using automatic as "fully" automatic but I didn't see it anywhere in their descriptions.

Thanks again,

Do shotguns count as non-automatic, or are they a separate class of weapon?

well most shotgun's are simple semi automatic, the rifleman perk covers all single shot and semi automatic weapons, rifle/shotguns, the commando perk is for fully automatic weapons, when you hold the trigger it keeps firing, so the rifleman perk is for semi auto's bolt actions, shotguns etc.

Well using real life... for pistol and autoloaders.

Semi automatic, pull the triger once, fire one bullet

Fully automatic, pull the trigger once, fire multiple bullets

Non-automatics automatically include revolvers and bolt action

That's not new knowledge that's new media bias.
