Does Fallout 4 Feel Unfinished?

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 12:15 pm

Hi guys,
I want to start off by saying I'm a huge 32 yr old Bethesda fan boy. I remember playing Bethesda games before I even knew who they were.
Now that I'm older with a wife and full time job, all my gaming time I have I play Bethesda games. (TES, FO, WET)

With that being said, when Fallout 4 was announced I was excited, really pumped.

Now that I'm about 30hrs into the game, I kind of feel a war battling inside me. On one hand this is one of the best gaming experiences I am having in my life. This game is Bethesda's biggest game and most elaborate.

But on the other hand, and my question to the community is;
Do you guy feel that Fallout 4 could have used a few more months to polish and complete unfinished concepts?

Again, I love the game and having a blast but I also have a thorn in my heart as I'm playing.

I tend to value quality over quantity, and Fallout 4 more than meets my needs.

As for the possible "lacking content" issue, free dlc (patches), mods, and payed dlc will solve that problem nicely.

:celebration:

From the MQ point of view - yes it feels unfinished to me. But with DLC's probably coming I suppose it's not finished. ;0

FO4 is definitely not "lacking content" but some new concepts Bethesda implemented, feels rough but it is clearly a beautiful FO game to the core!

Got a lot of hours in but haven't really touched the main quest so I can't comment on that. From what I see and the fun I get from this game i would say no. This game is easily the best game I have ever played and I have been playing hard core since the original Nintendo days. I'm simply amazed by it. I love it

I don't think it need more dlc right now. The game just came out. What game does need is patches, lots of patches! Enough to make Girl Scouts jealous

I think they were drunk on the job, and seriously didn't script the AI. The AI is so stupid, it's a wonder they all don't commit suicide and you win by default. I mean look at settlers for an example.. The brain capacity of a pea.

Yeah. It does feel unfinished. Fallout 3 and New Vegas as stand alones felt finished without the EP's. So why is it that those two games were able to pull it off and this one just feels flat. In skyrim I put in 100's of hours without mods or EP's in my first month. In F4 I have put in only two days worth of time and I had got it at launch.

Only things feeling unfinished in this game is lack of repairable regular armor and weaponry and lack of option to create ammunition. There is all so pretty big ghost towns with massive ammount of building i cant get in to. Seems like they didn't have enough time to make these building explorable.

They have the crafting system and repair system allready inplace so hopefully they would add these features back into the game as both of them would suit the game really well in my oppinion.
