I'm starting this discussion because I have discovered a quite infuriating bug within Fallout 4. Apparently, some of the level 4 merchants are not showing up at the settlements the player has assigned them to go. In my case, upon meeting the scribe, I sent him to my settlement at the castle. I am certain that I met all of the scribe's requirements for living at one of my settlements. After all, I had reached a part in the game when I was actively walking throughout the commonwealth looking for the the scribe. In the end, I found the scribe and asked him to live at my settlement. The scribe agreed and said that he was on his way to my settlement. Unfortunately, after fast traveling to my settlement, I noticed that the scribe was not there. I proceeded to wait a long time, over and over again. Still, the scribe never appeared at the castle. In order to try and resolve the issue, I reverted back to a previous save. Luckily, I saved the game right before I talked to the scribe. This time, I followed him from where I met him, next to Cambridge Polymer Labs, hoping to discover the degree of the issue. The scribe had just traveled past Diamond City, when all of a sudden, he vanished. I am assuming that the scribe disappearing is the bug. I have tried everything I know to do, but the scribe still will not show up at the castle. I have seen other reports of people having similar issues. From what I can gather, the scribe and smiling Larry are bugged. However, I would not rule out the possibility that the other level 4 merchants are bugged. Either way, this bug needs to be fixed immediately. I am beyond enraged because I put forth a lot of time and effort to unlock the armor emporium and to find the scribe, only to discover that the scribe is bugged. I'm sure other people are equally as disappointed as I am. Hopefully, a patch is released soon that addresses this problem.
