<sup>I heard the whistling and though... "Wonder what that is"... then headbutted a mini-nuke. I was just taking a sip of Dr Pepper at the time and it went EVERYWHERE lol.

Have to say I like the combat now... In F3 and NV the combat was a little... meh! I tend to forget to use VATS a lot of the time now. I also tend to think a lot more tactically now that it is more crowded. Sometimes retreat is the best way to win (especially if you retreat into another enemy type and get the two to start on one another... Got a Mr Gutsy to take out a bunch of Legendaries for me.

Best kill though, HAS to be an excited Legendary Raider who was on an overpass. I went to go under it and he tried to keep shooting me.... and moved too far over and fell off...and landed about 2ft from me heh.

it is nice to see they use fatman if it is long distance. feel kinda stupid that they use fatman in melee range.

I def was. Heard that whistle then dead lol. Funny things is it happened again when I reloaded. Heard the whistle so I started sprinting away and guess who is standing right in my way. My companion. Needless to say. I died 2x by it haha but not the third time. Oh no never again

Yeah.... now if I hear the whistle I'm burning action points like there is no tomorrow... hmmm.... actually if I didn't run there probably wouldn't BE a tomorrow.

Oh and I got an achievement when I went BOOOM btw... Touchdown?

Oh and there is another Mini-Nuke incident that scares the DooDoo out of me. Those Super Mutants who think it's fun to run up to you and press the button. BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGH.

raider boomer got me.

first time all i heard was the sound of my own body parts flying around.

second time i used sneak, saw the boomer and his fatman... then died again.

got him in the end though.

First time I entered Lexington I got wasted by that raider on the sky bride. I was brawling with a bunch of Feral Ghouls, and the next thing I know BOOM! Flipping mushroom cloud wher my character was standing three seconds earlier. At the time I was only lvl 5, so I was shocked to encounter a bandit with a Fat Man so early in the game.

I don't think I have faced that yet, but I did another quest with Paladin Danse with Super Mutants. Most of it went pretty standard, tough sob's, but nothing new. Then suddenly one shows up with a rocket launcher or something similar.

I reloaded a few times trying to snipe his head, but each time his shots would either kill me of bring me within killing range.

So I covered around a corner while Danse weakened him and he wasted his shots. At least no explosions hit me when I dares to look again.

Ha. Ya, I was approaching this encampment, not sure if they were friend or foe (I actually like the limited range of my 'enemy detection radar'), when all of the sudden what was quite obviously a mini-nuke round goes zipping just over my head and fortunately the trajectory carried it far enough away past me that the explosion didn't kill me. It was funny because it didn't blow me up.

I got the Touchdown achievement when a Super Mutant Suicider charged me and let off his mini nuke in my face, taking us both to meet our maker .

Yeah, that was where I got my touchdown. That was my first death, about 12 hours into the game. I had one other Fat Man encounter a little earlier from a Boomer in a raider camp below an overpass I was on, but I saw it coming and sprinted, and he hit the edge of the bridge. I got far enough away from the point of impact to survive the blast that time.

I've been carrying his Fat Man around since then, hoping to find an intact Mini Nuke for it.

In the first couple hours of the game I was clearing out a building and killed one raider then down the hallway I saw anther one turn around and he had a Fat Man. I hit VATS as soon as he shot off a nuke and watched it come at me in slow motion. Would have been epic if you could target the nuke in VATS. Make it happen modders.

Im over 40 hours into the game and I still haven't got my revenge if he is still even alive.

Fortunately for me I saw him coming as I was fighting off to the side of where he was, and then saw a nuke explosion where a bunch of ghouls were attacking the raiders lol. So I was able to run around the corner and kill him before he got another shot off. I also didn't know you get an achievement dying to them so now I will have to next time I see one .
