Is it working as intended, that there are no sharing of food and water when there are supply routes setup ?

Would have though that was why there were farms, so I could supply settlements with food, instead of having to farm at every settlement and the same for water.

No one who can say for certain how its supposed to work ?

From what I can tell, supply lines are only for trading materials at your workbenches (wood/steel/copper/glass/aluminum etc).

Each settlement must have its own source of food and water. And of course you must manualy select a settler and make him run the supply line.

It does seem to only share junk, although it states in one of the loading screens that supply lines share food and water

I'm pretty sure there's actually a tip on the waiting screen about settlements sharing food and water through a trade rout

Thanks for your replies, will wait a bit with extensive settlement work and see if a patch will fix this.
