It started randomly and I've seen it discussed on reddit with no solution. Essentially my companion is making a clicking noise that sounds like one of the turret noises. It is incessant. Anyone experience this and/or solved it?

Which companion is it? Dogmeat's paws make a clicking noise on asphalt, but that's the closest I've heard yet.

Right now, its Piper. Its the noise the turrets make when they idle. I've verified my game files to try and resolve it but she's still clicking. Next up are going to be console commands to respawn her.

*Update* I created a save, used the console command "resurrect" which did not stop the sound. Loaded the save (since resurrect wipes the npc's inventory) and she does not click any longer. I do not know if this will last or if my process was actually effective.

*Update2* Clicking returned. This is extremely irritating.
