Dear Bethesda: You owe me new underwear.

The first time I experienced one of the radiation storms, I was like, "Uh-oh.... What's this? What do I do?"

But if we're talking about things that scared the living [censored] out of me, I was looting through an abandoned shack and a Mirelurk King had snuck up and used one of those sonic attacks riht behind me. Been a while since I jumped like that.

Deathclaw wasn't the scariest I've seen in this game; not by a long shot. The scariest would be a tie between the Mirelurk Mother and the Sentry Bot.

Mirelurk Mother when she was taking direct hits from missles and her health would only go down a millimeter or two on her health bar. And her spit attacks are deadly. I was going through stimpacks like a sugar deprived kid eating candy. Finally had to bite the bullet and use nukes on her. Twenty minutes to bring her down. Dang. Won't forget that one.

Sentry Bot made me jump out of my chair, literally. When that robot opened-up full bore with his weapons and my health started going down at a rapid rate I knew it was either time to sprint away as fast as possible or try to find away to stay alive and whittle its health down. Thankfully, the first time I encountered a Sentry Bot it was near a railway car. Played ring around the railway car for a good fifteen minutes all the while dropping fragmentation mines until he finally was disabled. Finished him off with a couple of 50 cal shots. The explosion resembled a mini-nuke going off. Rattled me quite well.

The only thing that's gotten me so far is..
Spoiler
a Radscorpion jump scare I encountered at a seemingly abandoned shack.

Definitely wasn't expecting it since it's quite far from any area where you'd normally find them.

That moment you turn the corner to over look the walkway between 2 buildings and your eyes are instantly attracted to the mini nuke strapped to a fat man held by a Power Armor wearing raider... I've learned now though that reacting is futile.

I have found that shack. It was my first encounter with the new radscorpions.

My roommate heard me somewhat melodramatically say, "Oh god no, not one of those!"

I admit, I flinched.

If only I could like or up vote posts this one would be for sure. I came across something like this but in my case I only saw one and decided to follow it while sneaking to see where it would go in hopes of catching some raider vs deathclaw fight or something. Little did I know there was a second one that was just hanging out when I crawled right past it. Never got the chance to run but if i do get a next time I love your idea of getting away.

@Washington420, reminds me of Jurassic Park 1, where the guy is targeting the first raptor and a second one flanks him and he says, "Clever girl!"

Yeah that is pretty close to how it went down except they were not hunting me at first. I was the curious cat who is lucky to have endless lives haha.

ROFL

First time I jumped was a mole rat nest.
First time I was in a Resident evil moment was when when I realized the raiders where back in Concord during a foggy night so am happily stalking and killing them then half way threw smack in the center of town I thought "oh shiet, what if there's a deathclaw too" i hate those things. Know where to jump into if I run into a couple of them on the road ;)
