I have been trying for most of today to set things on my shelves, but every time I use the workshop mode to place the objects it sinks though whatever I put it on top of. oh and not only does this happen on my shelves, but this also happens on counters, tables, bookshelves, The wooden floor foundations, and Even the ground outside. So I decided to ditch the using the workshop placement and to just drop the items on the ground and place them manually by lifting them by holding E (holding A on xbox, holding X on Playstation). This was ridiculously time consuming to bang things off of tables and walls to get them upright and straight, but after fast traveling and returning everything was knocked over or on the floor.

I've seen plenty of posts on the front page of people that have decorated their homes with upright items on shelves, tables, and containers, but for me I just can't I have no idea what to do anymore or what kind of sorcery it takes to place the objects, but can some please help me out here.... sorry for the wall of text but I am just thoroughly frustrated with the object placements and why they change every time I leave the settlement and come back.
