Fallout 4 Elements you want to see in TES 6 and F05?

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 7:15 pm

What things do you love in fallout 4 and want to see in the next elder scrolls title and or fallout title.

I want

-settlement building (or town building in TES and the next FO. A tree village would be awesome in Elder Scrolls! Can you imagine being able to build from the ground up in the beautiful elder scrolls world. Player homes and hearthfire dlc were meh so an overhaul would be amazing!

-perk system ranks (loving them so far)

-character creation (the new system is great)

-crafting (they hit a home run and would love to see this in both new games)

I would like to see attribute system return in next elderscroll. as i really love playing mage, destruction mage in vallina skyrim was very painful to play due to their damage scaling and magicka was very bad implemented. i would like to see attribute like willpower back that i can increase for the magicka regen rate, and increase spell potency with high int

I'm also very happy going back to having some individual armour pieces like we had before Beth took them away, mixing a variety of armour types and styles was always good. Still looking for something really original that has not already been done in previous Beth Games by the Modder's Community. Basically I've yet to see something entirely new within FO4, Oh forgot the new Crosshair, they can leave that with FO4 and give us back normal crosshairs in any future games. Crafting, Weapon Mods, Moving Game items, adding game items it's all been done before, yea add in the best idea's from the mod maker's but do not claim it as a FO4 Amazing New Idea or Addition.

Things that Fallout 4 has, that should be included in the next Elder Scrolls title:

- More improved version of the Settlement building mini-game

- Voiced protagonist (I LOVE the Mass Effect style of conversation, feels very natural)

- Individual Armor pieces, yes please!

- Character creation is very good! I love how you can directly sculpt your character's face instead of sliders.

I'll discuss TES VI:

-Settlements

-Perk system with attributes (instead of using SPECIAL, TES could maybe use something like CLASSIC: Charisma, Luck, Awareness, Strength, Swiftness, Intelligence, Continuity)

-Magazines that grant special abilities/techniques, except in TES they could be books, and pehaps grant skill-specific techniques that are more akin to what we saw in Skyrim with some stuff

-Legendary enemies

-More unique weapons

-Creature movements, behavior, and special abilities that provide multi-dimensionality to combat (I am impressed with FO4 in this regard)

-Some new armor/weapon smithing options to provide additional customizaton

What I'm not wanting to see from FO4 in TES VI:

-Voiced protagonist (not unless there's greater enhancement of topics, dialogue fluff, more skill checks, more factional stuff, and variety in the voices able to be chosen, along with a few other things that I posted in a topic about voiced dialogue on the TES series speculation forum)

-The dialogue wheel (not at all, no wheel please)

-Elimination of skills entirely

The thing I love the most about F4 is that Bethesda acknowledged the necessity of having solid AI and FPS mechanics in their game and asked FPS-specialized devs for advise on how to implement them. Personally I interpreted this move as proof that Bethesda now understands that player skill-based combat against an AI that takes cover and tries to outsmart the player is, indeed, more entertaining than mindless button-mashing against suicidal bullet sponges.

My greatest hope for TES VI is that we see the same focus on AI and player skill-based gameplay. I hope Bethesda asks Arkane Studios for advise on how to implement good melee and magic systems.

At least it is a step back in the direction we want... Until now they've been reducing armour and clothing options, so it's nice to see them go the other way.

I'd rather talk what I want to still see improved in Fallout 4. Base building needs major improvements across the board and more walls/textures. Being able to easily make rooms inside buildings with seperate doors and so on.

Fo5 is probably nearly a decade away. But for ES6 just keep using the same stuff from Skyrim and FO4. No need to fix something if it isn't broke. Just try to keep the glitches and FR drops on a down low.

What fiasco? This game is f*ing brilliant so far. Did I miss something?

As for the OP's question: I want everything they've already mentioned. Settlement building is fun and something similiar like it in TES 6 would be great. Character creation is brilliant and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do to make it even better in future. And the perks! Something like what they've done with FO4/Skyrim and perhaps some perk trees like in Path of Exile would be awesome.

Other than that, the guns are perfect. Well done whoever was responsible for that. The sound is another area that is top notch (as it always seems to be) and I'm not just talking about the amazing ambient music but the way the sound of gunfire, etc. ehcoes throughout the wasteland is fantastic.

Animation is a lot better this time around and a lot more varied than in Skyrim. I'm hoping they improve even more in the next TES/FO. View distance is incredible (although I still notice some pop-in now and then) and I love what they've done to the engine. Yeah, a brand spanking new engine would be nice, but how long would that take? I already have to wait another 4 years for the next TES. Building a new engine is likely to make that wait even longer. And ensuring that it's moddable (which it must be!) is probably another headache the devs want to avoid.

My only complaint so far is the dialogue choices. They are too vague. How am I supposed to know how the conversation is going to proceed? Also the voice actor is great but are all my future characters really going to sound exactly the same? I'm not sure I can handle that to be honest. I think they got it right with Skyrim: a few voiced grunts and shouts for the player character is all you need.
