Different Enemies In Fallout 4?

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 3:00 am

Hello, big Witcher 3 fan here!

I have been playing fallout 4 for a couple days now and I am about level 15 and I have only run into a fair share of different monsters/creatures. I loved fallout 3, but I really love the witcher 3 alot cause of the huge selection of enemies I believe it has about 80-100 different types. My question is, does fallout 4 even come near this selection? If so or if not how many creatures does FO4 currently hold? I know its a bit early but I want to know if there is a decent amount.

Thanks!

why do we compare to TW3 again?

Anyway i don't think you have the HUGE amount of variety like in TW3, but it has it s fair share of diversity.

The more you go to direction city centre the more you will see

you don't need to compare, besides the witcher 3 uses the same monsters with different recolours, that doesn't make them different monsters, just different colours

and i don't think there are nearly 80 different enemies in f4, but it's still a very good variety

There are around 50-60 unique creatures and then theres about 5 main bosses and about 20 monster contracts which are like unique side bosses.

But yeah as I said I just want to know i haven't seen it all within 48 hours of playing the game lmao.

Bump.

Can anybody name most of the monsters/creatures/enemies they've seen in-game so far?

Im gonna try to avoid repeating anything that literally literally just a re-texture or has differences that are too subtle(ie glowing ones, and mirelurks killclaws with different claws)

Anthropods:

Radroach

Bloatfly

Bloodbug

Stingwing

Radscorpion

Mirelurk

Mirelurk hatchling

Mirelurk hunter

Mirelurk king

Mirelurk queen

(these mirelurks are all very different)

Mammals:

Dog(normal attack dog)

Mongrels(irradiated dog)

Mutated hound(super mutant dog)

Radstag

Yao guai

Molerats

Super Mutant

Super Mutant Behemoth(THIS IS NOT A SUBTLE DIFFERENCE)

Feral Ghoul

and the obvious Human

(Honourable mentions but never hostile: Brahmin and cat)

Robots:

Mr Handy/Gutsy

Protectron

Sentry Bot

Turret

Synth

Eyebot

Assaultron

last but not least

Reptiles:

Deathclaw

lemme know if it looks like I missed something vastly different to everything else and I'll edit the list

You will meet many more enemies with different AI.

Some are pretty crazy. I love what Bethesda did with enemies and their AI. Robots with no arms and thus no weapons still run at you and hammer you with their bodies. Ghouls can get their limbs torn off, like leg, resulting for example in them lying down but still alive.

There are some enemies that totally ignore my power armor defenses and are in swarm more deadly than Death Claw Alpha. Rad Scoprions digging underground and so on.

This is a pretty big and welcome change. Now they need to fix difficulties so higher diff does not equal sponge bobs but add more enemies or more varied or traps and so on.
