Building Physics...

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 2:40 am

O.k. so I just got into building up a new building....

what I noticed is that on my first and second floors I could keep building floor without anything underneath for support....

Which has given me a great Idea...

I'm going to demolish all the buildings in my settlements and have a small tower in the center... then build floor after floor after floor extending outwards.

Since the physics engine allows me to build floor with no support it should be no issue at all :)

:goodjob:

One of the only things that is slightly deficient in the game is that:

1. Some items (fences in particular) tend to clip against one another far too much. It makes building a nice hermetic fence around a settlement almost impossible and even results in major gaps. I tend to use the tall wooden cabinet to plug holes.

2. Shame that the terrain cannot be leveled, for example as it can in the "Life is Feudal" game. Devs should consider giving that one a whirl if they haven't already. Including a bit more terrain modding in an update would be cool if it was doable ;)

Not quite the same but if you're upset about your house being elevated off the ground in some spots, just build a foundation.

I found that building the floor before the walls is a good idea since it's a nightmare to fit the floor into a space rather than the walls around a space you made lol :)
