While looting Sanctuary I didn't scrap the intact furniture but saved it in my Workshop.
Now I built my house in Sanctuary, but I can't find my furniture in the workshop. I had a lot of sofas, tables, chairs etc.
Am I missing out something?

Does a number not appear at the bottom of the object you want to place? If not, then it might be a bug where the game fails to keep a track of stored items.
@Akul I'm not sure I understand. Where is a number supposed to appear? On the object before I pick it up to put in Workshop?
I did find other items which I hadn't scrapped, smaller items in general like a toaster, salt shaker, office fan etc,,, but no tables, chairs and sofas.
Yep, you see a number on the object's image when you go to put it somewhere. When you need to build something, the number does not appear.
I don't think you can see it in the inventory though.
You only get them in the build interface. If you open build interface then go to furniture you will find an number under the selected furniture and you can place it without using resources.
You can store all sort of stuff here including prefab structures.
You can not use saved furniture or other build items in other settlements, don't have the trade routes yes and don't know if this enables this
Items with yellow outline for example can only be scrapped.
It does not. Supply lines or not, walls, furniture, turrets and so on are not shared. Apparently only junk is.
Here's what I mean.

I store table in workshop : http://i.imgur.com/9kOnRtq.jpg
I find out table is not in workshop : http://i.imgur.com/QuFSM7g.jpg
Thanks I got it now. I had thought they'd be in the workshop not in the building menu. Must have had a blonde moment... too many arrows in my head.
