Linking workshop resources and settlements

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 2:32 pm

Does anyone know of a way to link resources between settlements?

I have the local leader perk x2 and can construct all the stations in every settlement that I create. Cool, but what I really would like to do is be able to access all of currently stored resources via my created settlements. I heard there was a way to link the workshops so that all the raw materials for building are consolidated. Is that what the caravan trader/settler is supposed to do?

Little help here from anybody would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you assigned a settler to do so?

Here is a guide that worked for me.

Outstanding!

Thanks for the link, I just read it and it explained the process very well.

Thanks for this! Very helpful. :)

What's the major difference between supply lines and trade routes?

Thank you! I was wondering how that would work, as I tend to dump all my junk at whatever settlement I am near, once I see my inventory nearing max.

The settlement stuff is a separate game almost, and I know I am mostly half-assing it. :) Although my growing display of teddy bears and Bowling Pins on one of the empty house platforms is entertaining. I find that the game makes me feel melancholy (as it should) as my girl wanders around, so I find that doing settlement stuff for an hour or half hour is a good way to wind down.
