Best Settlement Location to make huge buildings?

*NO SPOILERS PLEASE* I'm looking for the best area to make a skyscraqer. Sanctuary Hills and Spectacle Island are my first thoughts but neither are perfect for what I want to do. I'm looking for a large, flat area with a water source, and enough dirt to make a farm. Anything come to mind? *NO SPOILERS PLEASE*

I did spectacle island. I made a gigantic city with walls but open floating on the water. I made a large bridge to it to allow easy defense. It is epic ...

I started with the bridge on the edge of the land where the nice beach is and extended it and made a giant square for the city... then you have an entire island still to use.

Not a spoiler but be careful when securing it... Let's just say to take the island you need ample firepower :)

Oh I already took the island and boy that was awesome!

I'll give it some thought but it just feels a little weird to be on an island. Do you still get attacked? A yes or no answer will suffice.

I built it just last night so unsure about attacks. If settlers can get there I assume enemies will spawn on the island outskirts or in the center and attack

Just an fyi but you can make all but a very few (only two tiny settlements come to mind as sole exceptions) settlements as perfectly flat as you please to build whatever you want.

Under build wood floor section, there is a concrete foundation with wood flat surface you can use to level out all but most extreme terrain. Use raise and lower function to adjust height of first foundation you lay down, then all other pieces snap into place.

Long as you have enough material, concrete in particular, you can create any flat surface wherever you want.

I never knew that. Do you play on a PC? I personally have an Xbox One and this could be a PC exclusive thing, but I will definitely look into that tonight. I just haven't found a spot that inspires me yet. I had a master plan for Sanctuary Hills but I've put them on hold.
