Can you return to vault 111 without storyline?

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 1:04 am

This isnt spoilers section so dont need spoiler info but on restart of game I forgot to grab vaultt 111 - new jumpsuit that is apparently different than one I wear now.

Is there way to get back inside vault 111 at anytime or is that unlocked only by campaign progression?

What's stopping you from trying? Go back and enter the vault it's not rocket science.

If it doesn't work go in to the shed beside the elevator and hit the button. Then walk back to the center of the circle.

Yeah would be amazing when there would have been a option to simply re-enter that cryo pod and then thats it. Game over and credits :D

Or, an Easter Egg that says "You can resume the game again in 200 years" then it goes "Just Kidding!!"

Given the number of my profile posts I've added to this community, with in depth explanation - vs yours - the rocket science comment coming from you is fairly ironic.

I tried, didn't find a solution, no doubt it is some brain dead moment i am having - but that's life. You can be super competent in some things and still miss an obvious one - hence my post, to ask an easy question to what it sounds like you are saying is an easy answer.

The obvious button didn't work. given your snarky answer, I must be missing some other obvious button/method to re-enter. Why don't you just post that instead of pretending you are the rocket scientist your lack of community posts clearly contradicts?

So this was the completely obvious...doh, missed it as too in my face obvious. I was pushing the buttons and looking for FO3 style 'you have returned!!!' type entry where you walk up, do something-push button- then get the whole re-entry animation.

Well, time to see if this new vault suit is actually different looking since one popular mod says only that frame was used to build his new textures on.

It's just clean. The one you leave the vault with gets dirty over a bit of time. The "new" one stays clean 5ever.

ah good then.

the mod I see on top mods list for FO4 on nexus has some very nice vault suit retexture variants, including some slinky black ones. I see now why the mod author said only the vault 111 new suit is supported - to keep the suit looking as remodeled I imagine.

Yes you can. They hinted at it when you saw that locked up gun and your character said something to the effect of "I'll have to come back for that"

How did you enter the vault the first time? By standing in the middle of the circle. The button does nothing AFAIK.
