You can always load the stuff into your inventory and deposit it at the work bench in another setlement

Yes, the Local Leader perk (charisma 6) allow you to set Supply Routes between settlements. Once you have the perk, highlight a settlers while in workshop mode and press Q (it'll tell you the key on the bottom bar if you're on a console).

It'll instantly share your workshop's inventory. Although not every items is shared (not sure) but junks and crafting components/mods works at least.

If I recall correctly, Local Leader 1 allows this.

I was recently thinking about this as well. I don't think there is anyway to share guns armor etc, but you could break everything down before storing it, at which point the assets should be available anywhere.

For instance dump your gun on the ground. Open up the workshop mode. Highlight the gun and break it down to 2 screws and 2 steel. Store the screws and steel.

You know you can break down weapons and armors at their respective workshop eh? :P

Still useful to know how to do it manually for other items, and when there's only a basic workshop available .

No shops required, only the Local Leader perk and a settlers assigned to the supply line.

How do you do that? I can't find that on the workshop container menu, but I heard it mentioned many times.

I know when you put the pistol in the container, the assets (2 steel 2 screws for example) become available, but that would only be for that location. It looks like the only items that are "shared" are the assets not including non-broken down items.

Hmm when I have weapons on me and use the Weapon Workshop, in crafting mode. There is an option to break it down. On PC it is the 'R' key (like everything other scrapping). You don't put the weapon in the workshop, you directly use crafting mode.

Oh never mind that is right. I was thinking of the regular workbench.

I swear though at times even when I store items that the assets don't appear. Many times I've had several rolls of duct tape stored, but when modding, the menu only shows a couple of adhesives.
