There should be an option at the workbench where you can scrap all the junk into its base resources.

There is an option to transfer all junk to the workbench, where it will be automatically scrapped whenever you need more of the materials it contains. Some people have been reporting losing the extra materials through auto-scrapping, though, so take that with a grain of salt. It would have made more sense to simply auto-scrap all the junk in your inventory then transfer it over, but I guess they were worried about people accidentally scrapping things they didn't mean to with that. I think that would have been better than the current system, though, especially with the bug of losing the extra materials.
Corvega assembly plant= lots of aluminium if you want it!
i'm a lvl 48 btw ask me anything.
Yeah, I know that...what I'm saying is that there should be a function at the workbench where you can scrap junk without having to build anything. For instance, if you have 12 ball-peen hammers in your Junk inventory, you should be able to hit the square button in the Workshop inventory menu and it will automatically convert it into the resources in your inventory. You should be able to do that for individual pieces of junk or the entire junk inventory. I don't like the fact that you have to literally drop items on the ground, then scrap them to get the resources, then put those resources back into the workbench inventory. It seems like a bunch of unnecessary steps.
i agree tc
an option to salvage/scrap items in the workbench transfer windows would be great
yes, crafting will use junk items to make things, but its unknown whether items with multiple atributes (glass + steel) get broken down into both or just the one needed for the item your crafting.
so scrapping all junk. or all tagged junk items would be useful aswell
