v1.1.21.00 Bugs and Issues (and a few suggestions)

Hi. I played for a few days now and noticed some bugs and issues. I hope these can be fixed with an upcoming patch. There could be some Spoilers inside when I need to describe where it happened or what happened.

The current Version is v1.1.21.00 on Xbox One with the latest Win10 Update installed.

Bugs/Issues:

  • Savegames are sometimes not showing the right Name or screenshot and the last save is an emtpy line (but it can be selected and overwritten)
  • I got a Quest from Preston to defend a Settlement and I went there to kill the attackers. The questlog/text displayed it failed (!) but I killed all intruders and got a reward from the Settlers and from Preston after talking to him.
  • Sometimes a Companion seems to be gone/missing when you send them to a new Location. Even leaving the area, waiting for 24 hours and coming back did not make him appear (sent Preston to red rocket Station).
  • Sometimes objects fall through the Environment or other objects when they are lying on a box/table when you interact with another nearby object and then they are not reachable anymore (not so bad if it happens to junk but a serious issue if this happens with skill books, keys or quest items)
  • Sometims NPCs get stuck if you quicksave/load in a "sequence" like bringing back Billy (I think that was the Name of the Boy trapped in the fridge). I was back at the parents house and talked to them when I saved right before the camera moved away to fokus on the guy who wants to buy the Boy as slave. When I loaded this savegame the parents and the attackers outside were stuck and did not respond to anything.
  • The Chem deal quest from Diamond City where you go outside to steal the Money and chems and later go into the chem laboratory has the husband who sent you on the quest stuck after interrogating the ghul Lady. He is just not responding if you talk to him and does not move and is focused on the ghul. If you move the corpse he follows but does nothing else. I had to load an earlier save and interrogate her 3-4 times before I managed to convice her to help me and tell me the Password to the chem lab. I let her live and then the other guy (from the bar sleeping with the husbands wife) killed the ghul and the husband responded again.
  • Localization error: in the German game Client it says the Password is "Apfelschnaps" (or something with apple) but when I enter the Code in the terminal its the four leaf thing. (sorry I dont know the english word for it but I hope you know what I mean)
  • On the rifle perk in Perception where all scoped rifles do more damage the Text on 2 perks is the same (copy & paste error?) Both show the exact same text and damage Bonus but it should be 20% more on the higher rank.
  • I was sent to get the pump for the USS Constitution ship (last part of first quest chain on ship) and it says its in a nearby factory. But there is no questmarker on the map and I searched several Locations shown on other guides/vidoes but all of the big loot chests at the end were empty or had new loot in them but the pump was not there. (hope this can be fixed with a patch to add it if you have this step already active)
  • Synth armor arm pieces are not shown on my character. I tried wearing no vault suit, vault 111 suit and other clothes but the arms are always invisible. (legs are shown and chest has something around my neck (but nothing on chest) and helms work, too)
  • When I visit the table to create chems in a Settlement it Shows a new Hallucigen Gas Grenade but only if you have the hallucigen Containers in your char inventory. If you put them into your workbench inv (where I store ALL Things I find) the Option disappears until you put the gas Containers back on your character.
  • When you destroy a turret the smoke effect is visible through solid walls above them. It happens often indoors when you go up via stairs and then you see smoke coming through the Floor (but there are no holes or damage on the Floor)
  • When you view out of a window when you are inside a Skyscraqer like Greene Biotech the other big houses outside have often very bad and ugly textures and even holes in the Buildings where you can see through!
  • Lights placed in Building mode are often bugged and shown as inactive even if power is next to them (with pylons or the small Things to attach the power line). It happens often if you move them after the first Placement and then they rarely get power again.
  • During the Mission in Switchboard (I think it was railroad) where you get the secret Technology thing there is a huge security door which will be opened by the NPC with you when he uses the unuseable terminal next to it. But the door was already open when I first entered the room. The NPC said he just opened the door after leaving the terminal and you hear the Sound of an opening door.
  • When you wear power armor and stand below a Roof you still get the raindrop effect. This should not happen if there is a solid Roof above you?
  • I have the red rocket Station as main base and often see NPCs like Piper or Preston work on an invisible power armor (I wear it or parked it somewhere else, not in the power armor Station)
  • When you enter power line mode (Y) in your base the sparkling light effect (orange light) stays when you cancel or place a wire until you place a new one or the lights around are updated otherwise.
  • The Settlements tab in the popboy often Show warnings (the ! Icon) but its unclear why or the stats are often completely wrong and Show 0 beds/Food but when you fasttravel to it it has the proper values again.
  • Brotherhood: Capt. Kells sends me on a quest about stolen items in the storage at the Airport and tells me I become armor but I did not get any new armor
  • Detail view of an armor item (push right stick) does not Show the proper Details of armor like the command armor. Some Show a star or the brotherhood logo in the small holo preview and in the game, but Detail view just Shows it without any decals on it.
  • When you are next to the parkview Appartement Building and Show up to the Roof you see a hole in the wall and can see through the Building (dont know which side it was but just stand on the street and look to the Roof)
  • I was shocked when I found cat meat (I think it was Vault 81 or the Institute). But it seems there is no recipe for cat meat (or synthetic Gorilla meat) at the cooking Station. When Dogs can be cooked and eaten, so should be cats? (please dont kill/eat cats!)
  • Vault 81: When you get the missing kitty quest in Vault 81 the questmarker first Shows an outside Location but when you ask Horatio about any rumors/News and he tells you about the missing cat the quest gets "Talk to [the Girl]" again even if you already did this to get the quest and the questmarker now only Shows the Location of the Girl and not where to search for the cat anymore.
  • Vault 81: I got the Quest from Tina in Vault 81 to talk to her brother so he stops using chems but the questmarker only Shows Tina when I Need to talk to Rachel or her Brother.
  • Vault 81: Theres a rumor about Tina and Holdt being together (Holdt cheating on his wife) and sometimes you see them in a small storage room Standing next to each other but they just stand there and try to move/interact sometimes and jerk/shrug (hope Google translate is correct ;)) but dont do or say anything.
  • When you visit Dr. Amari to help Curie become a human Amari talks about the Keeper/Advisor and I should come back in a day. But the NPC is already Standing in the room below before you talk to her about Curie and is only saying generic Things. It appears to be a stuck NPC not interacting properly but its fixed if you wait 24 hours in a chair. But maybe the NPC should spawn later and not stand there the whole time?
  • I got a Minutemen quest to help a Settlement but it was 3-4 times always Abernathy Farm and Ghuls where attacking. The target Location was different but its always Ghuls and the Abernathy Farm. Maybe more randomness and other Locations would be nice? (I have about 15 Settlements right now)
  • Brotherhood: The recipe for reactor cooling for the Brotherhood (the letter item) has a typo when you inspect it. It says "Nuclear Material x" and the number is missing
  • Brotherhood: When I ask Ingram for help with the reactor cooling she says she has some Basic materials to help me ("Take this") but I did not get anything

Bug or Feature?:

  • Is it intended that cleared regions are later not tagged as cleared and new enemies and loot appears in Containers? It may be intended to add new Content to already cleared Locations or is it a bug?
  • Power Armor Helmets have 2 mods. Maybe its an Translation issue but there is one for more Perception (which only increases VATS accuracy?) and another one for more VATS accuracy. Both do the same? Whats the difference?
  • I talked to Tina in Vault 81 and convinced her to work for me but instead of showing the menu where to send her she just says something about this was a joke or so (maybe a translation error in German game or a conversation bug) and goes away and only talks about leaving the vault without her (now clean) brother.

Suggestions/Ideas:

  • It would be great if you could arrange items more precise when decorating or hang items on the wall like showed in the title Screen (weapons in the Garage next to Tools hanging on the wall)
  • It would be great if you could add a new sort Option to Show newly acquired items on top of the list. Its hard to find new holotapes or notes in the bag if you have many keys or other items you cant store inside your workbench or other Containers. Or maybe a marker next to new items when browsing the inventory which only gets removed when you Close the pipboy so it stays marked when you scroll by fast to find it again.
  • An Option for faster Scrolling in the inventory would be nice. maybe per page with the LT/RT Buttons or hold LB to scroll faster?
  • It would be great to be able to move/remove Skeletons in your bases. Maybe just hover them and press X to get some Bone as material?
  • Some improvements to the build mode (Settlement) would be nice like allowing noclip for fences to build them without the huge gaps (maybe with a keybinding to toggle or just Change the fence parts)
