So whats next for Fallout series? Fallout Online?

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:33 pm

Or you prefer single players experience?

What future would you like to see for this game?

I would like to see FO personally, but it would have to be handled properly (see WoW)

So I mean classess, raids, dungeons etc.

The universe is there, humanoids, beasts, synths, mountains, cities, underground, oceans (Bioshock???), Nuclear winters.

I want it to stay single player only, but each to their own

Well It may happen but remember the fiasco named TESO, so it may take some time, I personally prefer it to be like now more single player oriented, but it will be nice if your friends can export they character to your wasteland and play coop or some kind of multiplayer exclusive competitive mission.

There is no great game that can't be ruined by making an online version of it.

What's next for the Fallout series?

Fallout 4 DLC, obviously.

I thought ESO is still going pretty strong.

Besides, you're talking about different developers here between ZOS and BGS. The development and release of ESO had no impact on the development and release of Fallout 4 (or any other Bethesda game).

As for Bethesda, they don't make multiplayer games. That's why a completely different studio was created and tasked with making ESO. Their focus right now is supporting Fallout 4, and the eventual DLC to come. After that, it'll be full throttle onto TES 6 (which is probably already in the works in terms of laying out ideas and story).

Maybe something more mobile oriented. Maybe you have different colour Mut-fruits that when you get three in a row they disappear, bringing more down(?), I dunno. You could include micro-transactions to keep the cost down - there were lots of threads complaining about the price of the game a few weeks ago.

No problem Beth marketing dept, my pleasure.

Oh god...please, no. So many of those games out there, Bethesda devs don't need to be wasting their talent on something like that.

It would be cool if Obsidian was called in again to continue the West Coast/Rocky Mountain lore. New Vegas was made with a small window of time, so much more could have been done with the game (and allowed for more testing, as it was very very buggy when it was released but it got fixed). I would love to see what Obsidian can write up story-wise and then implement into the new engine.

I'm one of the big Bethesda fans who loves ESO (though I didn't play it until TU launched, as I wasn't gonna spend $15/mo) for different reasons than why I love the main TES series, but I have to say I'm not sure whether or not I want a Fallout MMO. I play a little bit of Fallen Earth and I'm fairly certain that unless they screwed a Fallout MMO up badly, Fallen Earth would become even MORE dead than it already is. Not to mention the TES name was unfortunately scarred by the rough launch of ESO, so doing a Fallout MMO may not be wise.

I'm not the kind who will ask for multiplayer Fallout but if Bethesda did go down that road, I'd prefer it to be a co-op type mode. I know I'm not gonna make friends here, but even if it's not co-op in the sense of exploration, they could do something like Ubisoft did with AC: Unity's co-op- you could opt in to co-op missions but never HAD to. Either way though, I would definitely prefer if the Fallout series stayed single-player.

An MMO is the next logical step for where they're taking the gameplay. And then I can give up on the series entirely.

They've already ruined TES with the ESO disaster, I doubt Todd Howard will let them ruin his other big franchise too...
