Items dropping through surfaces and even the floor. (PS4)

Hi everyone. When I place items on a table at Sanctuary Hills with the work bench active, after some time or I leave the area they'll fall through the table (or whatever) and sometimes disappear into the floor.

Does that happen to anyone else? I decided to place them the old fashioned way by grabbing but for some reason some Aide items won't be grabbed. I tried to move a bottle of Nuca Cola and just held down the X button and nothing hppened. I can pick it up obviously but I can't grab it and move it.

And this is a different issue but I've also become aware I seem to be mssing some items in the settlement menu, such as pot plants and flags. I saw a guy on a video on YouTube placing them, but yet I don't have any but the American flag. Do you find other objects as you progress in the game?

Thanks everyone.

I've noticed this, seems to be with certain surfaces/items. A chess board fell through a table, a floor, another floor...etc but bottles I've had on my bar have staid put. Annoying for decorating.

Not just a issue on console. I can confirm that.

PC player here and I placed some objects on tables in Sanctuary and return to find them sunk halfway into the table, or whatever.

This does not happen with all placed objects.

I found some nice world globes, those sunk into table.

But the lunchbox's I found do not sink in.

Just some items do.

So, it is a game feature.

I will note the table in case above is one that was in Sanctuary already, not one I built. I did not test the same on one I built. Might make a difference.

Same here

Bethesda make possibility to do custom settlement and make it totally useless because you can't "breathe a life" into those apartments with items you collect in Wasteland.

I spent 2 hours perfectly putting all items in their places, and after I returned next time - half was laying around, and another half just disappeared.

Yup, happens all the time! I spend hours decorating my tables and when I leave the settlement and come back, the stuff is either inside the table or under it. I also once found a lamp I had placed on a table in a house, laying outside, in the street... *shakes head* LOL And I STILL spend hours decorating the homes, maybe hoping that this time stuff will stay in place. I'm hopeless. LOL (PC player here).

Skyrim is also known for some wacky stuff, when you try to decorate your homes. At least the Hearthfire homes are indoor cells and to make sure the stuff stays in place, you first drop it on the floor, leave the house and then come back in and then you can decorate and the things will stay in place. LOL

As for the flags, when I agreed to help the Minutemen, the flag appeared in my build menu. Same with the BoS flag, once I joined them, I had the BoS flag in my flag decoration menu, in addition the minutemen and US flag.
