Is it advisable to put points in stealth perks if I am going to be wearing power armor?

Actually how badly does power armor affect one's stealthiness?

I have been looking for this info but there is no guidance about this, in the game. In fact I couldn't even find any piece of information in the game that tells me if there is any negative relationship between heavier armors and stealth, but I noticed that the power armor does make you a lot less stealthy.

Does anyone know anything about this?

well you can add a stealth boy effect to the torso portion of power armour to help with stealth ( like the chinese stealth suit), but ive found them be kinda stealthy with out nay perks in stealth and just the magazine perks. i can walk right up to someone, but i can sneak attack a fair amount of raiders and gunners from one side of the room to the other

Well is there a resource for this game, where one can go and learn about various different mechanics in this game? Because I have found that the game doesn't do very good job of explaining a lot of stuff.

If you looked at the Stealth perk bonuses, one includes silent movement. That will apply to power armor, and noise would have been the only thing distinguishing power armor from anything else. So with that there is zero drawback.

The stealthboy addon to the PA is quite limited. It only works when standing still, which is fine, but it also uses AP when in use... when all AP are stained, it turns off, but the AP will not regenerate unless you are moving or stand up... haven't tried to combine it with a photovoltaic coating, since that is not available for X-01 armor.
