So how do I get settlers out of a settlement?

So I cleared Hangman's Alley of raiders for the Minutemen quest and it was only then I realized this seemed like the perfect settlement for me. A central location outside of Diamond City, in an enclosed area, already pre-built walls and crafting tables. Seemed perfect. The objective was to build a recruit beacon in the possible settlement in order to complete the quest, but I decided to build it but to keep it turned off to not attract any attention because I wanted the settlement to myself.

So I traveled to Sanctuary Hills to turn in the quest, came back, already two random settlers there. And I want to get rid of them in a way that doesn't involve painting the walls with blood and brains. Do I just make the place absolutely impossible to inhabit? Delete the beds? The power generator I built? Do I just wait for an attack to wipe them out? Can they be wiped out?

This seems like the perfect home for me, but these filthy peasants are always getting in the way for their own selfish reasons! Isn't my solitude important? Some people. But yeah, any info someone can spare on getting rid of them?

If they are settlers then just send them to another settlement (workshop mode - move).

Not sure that will stop more settlers from turning up though.

Huh, you can do that to the settlers? I've only ever done it with the Brahmin. That's good to know. Hopefully more won't come so long as I build in moderation. Only one bed, no food, no water, no defenses. It has worked for Red Rocket Truck Stop so far.

Won't they dissappear after some time if you remove all beds, food etc?

Yes. I send all new settlers back to one location (the rocket gas station) and then distribute them as provisioners from that location.
