Expansions, What Do You Want?

Actually this is a great idea. Allow players to make customised ammo, like tracer, hollow point, armor piercing, etc. That have very different effects on the enemies.

I think a big fat crafting, weapons and settlement stuff expansion would be amazing.

I think it would be fun if they did an expansion where you go out into the ocean where tons of ships have come to rest in the mid-Atlantic gyre and been fashioned into a giant artificial island where the various crews have made their home far away from where the bombs fell. The island would be in a civil war of some kind, with the weaponry of powerful warships at stake. You'd get a lot of portions where you use the power armor as a diving suit to go under water and stuff.

How about a new, unaffected pre-war landmass that you would ultimately help protect from nukes or destroy by them, based on your disposition? Perhaps a completely intact, pristine city underground? (I would prefer a new area on surface but I guess, below ground level is far more plausible.)

New York! Went to Pittsburgh Alaska and Maryland in Fallout 3, so why not go to a post-apocalyptic New York? Honestly not having New York DLC is a missed opportunity

A revamp of dialogue system with full text options and options not locking due to inquiry responses. Way more non-radiant quests. Reputation and faction-locking. Factions including more quests. Ammo crafting.

Would love some more companion/romance content. I love Paladin Danse, Piper, Macready etc...so anything extra for them would be great!

Also something to expand upon the importance of settlements and make them more valuable and worth protecting :)

I would like to see an expansion into settlements, and more story progression for each of our companions (Delve into the romances we start a little more?) Or maybe even some faction based expansion content too. It would be nice to have some story plot with the faction we choose to side with beyond main quest. There's plenty to work with in that regard, be it expanding into new territories- founding new ones, or uniting with other chapters of your organization.

I would like to see something with memory den as well, but I *would* like it for our companions to go with us somehow when we do them. I was severely disappointed not to have them with me when I did institutionalized, I wanted to hear their reactions, and opinions of the place, because they mattered to me. Memory Den wise, I would like to see something involve the battle at the Sea of Tranquility (On the moon.)

Thing I would love to see that probably wont happen is Goris to reappear. The Talking Deathclaw from FO2. Considering he was an intellectual, he would probably have found the commonwealth to be a very interesting place.

A custom Vertibird, that we can build a platform for at our settlements, the ability to upgrade it too.

And, as someone else suggested, the return of Wild Wasteland.

I guess not so likely, but the best expansion in my eyes would be one that adds a lot more character types to the main one with other voice actors and the ability to play a more evil character if you want with dialogue and voice to represent that. Just having one voice and so limited dialogue really makes you feel shoed into just a very specific type.

^ That is a great idea.

I would like to see the settlement building/crafting expanded further, new enemies and most importantly; more areas to explore.

It would be cool to build my base on top of one of the skyscraqers or just anywhere in the world!

I'd also like to repair the existing buildings in settlements, or AT LEAST let me remove them all.

It kind of bugs me, that I am building a settlement around this beat up house in Sanctuary, without being able to

even put in a damn door or board up the windows. My settlers keep banging on the walls for all eternity to no avail. :)

Personally from a DLC I would really like to see a situation like Megaton (obviously not the exact same senario)But A game changing moral dilemma that is completely optional.

For FO4 DLC, I want to see new locations, with side content and freedom (unlike some FO3 DLC which was pretty linear) and a good story. I really want to see new factions with quest lines that fit the lore, and new (better) settlement locations.

IMO Oblivion's Shivering Isles was one of the greatest DLC I have ever payed for.It was all the key aspects of a great DLC, worth the money, full of lore and content. If Bethesda can still make DLC as fulfilling and worth your time and money as that (which I don't doubt they can) then we will be in for a treat with FO4 DLC.

Pre war DLC that explores the conflict up to the release of the bombs, exploring the main character's military background. The events in the DLC would reflect in the modern time in some shape or form ala fable style.

More elaborate cities with quests.

Gun and ammo expansion. Mods will take care of this most likely but I'd like to see an official one.

Underwater and above water expansion, underwater and above water enemies, combat, cities, et cetera. I'm thinking floating cities, boats, jet skies, et cetera. Pirates would be awesome.

Of course we gotta have some aliens. The one we get ain't going to cover it.

Emphasis on aerial combat via vertibirds and jump jets. Expanding the vertibird in game to be more than just a taxi service.

Some off the top of my head.

I mentioned this in another thread. I'd like to see vehicle 'mounts'. Like a dirt/motocross bike I can tear over the wasteland with. Fully customisable/moddable of course. Like we could find various parts. New wheels, chassis, fusion engines etc.

Maybe also four wheeled buggies. Attach weapons etc. Think mad max style vehicles.

I guess the pre-war stuff is popular. I like the idea of an underwater DLC with PA designed specifically for underwater exploration and combat.

Still think the SS's age should come into play. I'm not for new companions unless they fit into the rest of the game like Serana and Frea.

What Fallout 4 needs is a very strong companion storyline, BioWare style. I really enjoy the side quests that the Mass Effect universe gives the players to strengthen the relationship with teammates, the moments of time off on the Normandy and the party at a certain point in the ME3 storyline. I would very much vote for emphasis on inter-character relations. The player needs some sort of personal motivation/stake and weakness in the world that makes some moral decisions even harder to make. What better way to achieve this, than putting a strong friendship (or love?) in game to protect?

Yeah definitely gonna confuse a lot of people that the "memory den" was such a limited thing. I expected more quests from this. And in general I just find all "main" towns to hold too little quests?

Honestly they could add this quest in a future DLC where you need the memory den again inorder to obtain passwords/locations/lore/perks/info for said DLC.

Remember how Harkness talked about the Institute in F3? Maybe make some other interesting renegade Coursers. Maybe even a group who tried to escape.

If you didn't complete the MQ and didn't choose a faction yet, you start of with some radio beacon and some merc/raider group event like with the "Pitt". If you are deep into or completed the main quest your faction could also tell you about these special synth(s). Every faction has their own reason for wanting these synths under their control/destroyed etc.

Anyway you'd start more or less by finding the remains of this specific courser and you live through some of his data to figure out where the others went etc. And then a lot of stuff happens on the way in your search for every synth of this runaway group.

All in all, they could use the memory den or not. It's their choice. But they should definitely find some excuses like the one I mention here, to get you to visit other parts of the Commonwealth.

It makes a lot of sense that places are not all bombed and radiated to smithereens.
