How come i cant populate a city?

I did the settlement thing and had over 100 people that i was managing. How come I cant take those people and fill up a town like Concord? I nixed all the bad guys and think i can setup a decent community. If Bethesda would make smarter settlers, they could clean the place up while i wall it and setup defenses.

If one of the goals is to "reclaim the land" I would think this would be the next step?

Another ability i would like from FO 3 is the ability to drag corpses/items, having my fields covered with raider corpses just looks bad.

You can drag corpses. On PC you do that by holding down E I think. You can also put your weapon away by holding down R.

that would be up to modders once you have cleared the area of al quests and the like, then open the option to take it over.

this would require the creation kit

do it, make the mod. destroy the trashed buildings for scrap, and rebuild on your own.

as SOON as you get your hands on the kit,.

i play on the ps4 and i checked the control options..nothing there that can drag bodies/items.

Its just crazy for me to manage several small settlements. Managing 1 big one woud be good enough for me

Have you tried holding down the X button? I play on Xbox and found that to move the corpses/items I had to hold the A button (activate) and it moved them when I did

Also to "reclaim the land" they stuck with the settlements because each cell respawns. For example: I cleared out numerous factories and other places. Took me a week in game to do this. Then I went back to the factories I just cleared and it had spawned more bad guys and more goodies. My favorite though is Corvega Assembly Yard.

thanks, holding down the x button worked! wished they had added that to the control scheme.

Im not really happy with the respawns in a few spots. I always run out of ammo and forced to melee. There shoud be something to limit the respawns or allow the player to expand some of the settlements.
