Hey guys, so i've been playing on survival difficulty since the beginning, though i must say i found the game much more challenging during the first 10 levels when items were not so widely available. Now i have effective weapons and a good damage threshold i feel like i want to make some subtle changes to hopefully make it harder. There are some prime reasons for this;
- In an enemy mob, usually more than half seem to be a very low level/quality enemy and they die in 1 shot
- Mobs rarely or never have the heavy tiers of armors, and i've yet to see a legendary variant of the heavy armors
- The respawn time for mobs and cleared areas is typical Beth time (48 hours i think) though i'd like to drop it down and see if it makes the downtown area mayhem 100% of the time, like it is upon a first visit
I pulled this list from F4 Nexus and had a little go with it, though it didn't seem to make the changes i wanted. I'm still seeing mainly low level enemies, and then occasionally a super tough enemy, but not enough. On top of that it increased the XP proportion to a level that was no longer entertaining. As i just hit L50, im probably going to drop that modifier to below vanilla, because i don't see the point in racing through levels further.
Basically the main thing i'm asking for here is just a bit of an explanation as to what some of these modifiers actually do (as more than 75% of these changes i don't actually understand), and if possible some advice as to what changes you would make if they aren't present in this list.
I understand most of it. I dont really know what the 'GetGS' lines are for, but i'm assuming they are there to recall that info back to the player in the console, when they load this file? If their purpose is solely to relay that info, then i would like to know so i can just remove that from the list. The very last line is to force nuclear winter weather, and other lines pertaining to weather increase it's duration indefinitely. I liked the idea of this for added challenge and feeling of hostility, though after a few in game days playing it seemed to bug out.
So to TL;DR, if you could just help me refine this list to what you think is the best risk / reward. I'm L50 now and the challenge seems to have dropped drastically.
