How do you Crouch using a PC?

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 11:57 am

I've seen mention of crouching but can't figure out what key on a keyboard does that.

I've tried tapping every key but didn't see my character crouch.

The mention was in a post about console play.

They should have separate forums for PC and Console players.

Default key for crouch is Left-Ctrl if I recall correctly.

Two buttons directly below the caps lock on the far left.

Not trying to hi-jack the topic here, but how do you take cover and peak around corners? I guess we need a "how-to" topic.

Cover is automatic when you get close enough to it. When you aim you peek out.

Crouch behind something and then just press the aim button. It only works around corners i think.

It seems like you just crouch behind a corner and when you aim, you'll peak around. Doesn't always work somehow though.

Yea, it's not like in Deus Ex Human Revolution, where you have to hit the right mouse button to take cover and then use one of the movement keys to lean out and shoot. I haven't really tried the cover thing in FO4. I usually just hide in the shadows and try to snipe or ambush stuff. LOL

Hm, ok. Thought I tried that, but you have to crouch? It can't be done standing?

Pretty sure I've done it standing. I use it against turrets. Pop out, hit it three times, wait for the return fire then finish it off.

Do you have to back up against the wall, or walk straight into it, face first?

Face first. Contextual hint is your weapon lowering

Edit: also I didn't see it mentioned, but it only works in first person

I bound my crouch, nade, Q, and sprint buttons to my thumb buttons on my Razer Naga. It made it much easier for me as my left pinky doesn't bend to well from a past injury.
