I doubt it. The next game will take place in a new venue, and we'll be left to the wonder what happened to the Commonwealth, like the Mojave Wasteland.

Canon was established in Fallout 3. At least as far as Broken Steel goes.

If Maxson is alive, the Citadel wasn't destroyed. Citadel is also mentioned by a few.

Brotherhood is being set up for a royal fall.

I fully predict the BoS will be scattered and confused by Maxson's death in Fallout 5: New York, New York.

In a way, New York being carpet bombed is good because they won't have to make many skyscraqers.
