Bethesda: THANK YOU: wonderful game

I wasn't a big fan of FO3..... but I'm really enjoying Fallout 4!

The factions - excellent! The characters and their dialogues and their interests - love it!

I love a lot of the world design - the many buildings, the humor is much more balanced this time and blends in much better (I wanna go where everyone knows my name.....)

Some of the set pieces are excellent (Brotherhood of Steel!!!)

Thanks for making huge worlds to lose ourselves in!

Yup, unlike most of 3, I consider this one a worthy installment of the series. Massive improvement. I think perhaps what Obsidian did with New Vegas helped them course-correct, as well as did branching out with The Pitt and Point Lookout DLCs.

I really feel like I got the best of both worlds,

I see aspects from every one of the fallout games I loved in this one, I feel like for the most part- and some gameplay exclusive mechanics aside, the lore is where it should be. Most importantly, it feels new.

It's easy to use the same mold, and just churn out game after game. Breaking it, and remaking it into something I've enjoyed even more then the previous iterations is a hard feat to accomplish, and I know not everyone will say they succeeded in having their personal expectations met, or will be happy with where they went. Indeed many do just want a tit for tat sequel to FO3/NV, but I feel this one has a special place in my heart for being unique. I can safely say, it is my favorite fallout game to date, and god's New vegas was a very hard game for them to top for me. Because it was probably my most favorite game within the genre.

Yes, I do miss some things from NV, and a large part of me hopes they commission obsidian to do a NV2, after Bethesda sets their focus upon TES VI, just because I'd like to see what they do with the framework bethesda built. But, as far as comparing this to 3 goes, it's the no contest winner for me.

I'm really loving this game.

It looks great. The characters models are quite a bit better than Skyrim's and the animations have been improved.

Some textures are a little blurry but for the most part I haven't had an issue with them.

The lighting is amazing. I also love how colorful the game is. Sure it's not the best looking game in existence but I find myself stopping to admire the scenery when exploring.

The voice acting is a lot more varied than in previous Bethesda games. I haven't been hearing the same voice being used repeatedly so far. The quality has also gone way up.

I love the music. I don't listen to the music on the radio very often but the ambient exploration music is amazing.

The combat is vastly improved compared to FO3.

And then there is the staggering amount of content which was to be expected. I've played for almost 40 hours but feel like I've just scratched the surface. And that's not even taking into account all the mods that are going to be made as well as the DLC.

I could go on but I'll just say that I'm having a blast playing this and will continue to for a long time.

I feel it is poised between FO3's exploration and FO:NV factions as well. I liked FONV better but the lack of large places to explore and "lose" yourself in did wear on me a bit....

This has both - some well fleshed out factions and lots of exploration.

I'm always up for more factions and consequences ;) but FO4 is a vast improvement .....
