DLC idea - The Mannequin's Wrath

Spent a bit of time reflecting on the contents of the game after I finished one of the major faction quest lines. Two things stuck with me:

i) The Silver Shroud was, in my opinion, the most entertaining quest in the game

ii) What was up with all those Mannequins?

Then I got to thinking - wouldn't it be great if both of these can be thrown together to make a fun dlc? Every hero needs a good villain after all.

General premise:

The notorious villain "The Mannequin" and his/her criminal ring had started terrorizing the citizens of The Commonwealth. Will you (i) be the hero the Commonwealth needs, (ii) join "The Mannequin" in his reign of terror, or (iii) become the most feared super villain The Commonwealth had ever seen?

Initial ideas:

- The main "villain" could be called "The Mannequin", who could potentially be based off one of the villains from the Silver Shroud comic book

- He/she leaves behind Mannequins in odd poses after performing a crime (can link back to that weird building in Conchord), and has henchmen

- The dlc starts with receiving a radio frequency from "The Mannequin", who announces the arrival of his criminal activity in the Commonwealth unless "The Silver Shroud" can stop him/her

- The player then has to look for clues to uncover his plans, along with an optional objective to "Locate the Silver Shroud" which ties in with the "Silver Shroud" quest

- The Mannequin would be based in an entirely new area with its own settlements and quest lines. Other factions could include other heroes/vigilante/villain groups and mafia gangs (like The Tiggerman)

- The dlc would play out like a detective case, something along the lines of the Detective Case Files quests from Valentine. Many quests would also play out like typical comic book stories. E.g. use of FEV virus to form a hero/villain like the Hulk. The outcome from "The Secret of Cabot House" could also fit in here with how strange that quest got towards the end...

Ideally it would have a similar humorous tone to "The Superhuman Gambit" and "The Silver Shroud" quests from FO3 and FO4, respectively. Doubt this will be a reality, but imagine how fun this might be if it actually comes true?

Seriously the mannequins freak me out. After seeing a bunch of them arrayed with weapons around a dead woman in a tub, I've started to think that I'm gonna walk into some building some day and be attacked by an army of them.

I've even shot a few just to be sure.

If it means more glorious and deliciously cheesy Silver Shroud talk, sign me up.

Man, is "The Mannequin" plays the role, imagine the campy dialogue.

"Silver Shroud! Curse you and your meddling antics! When I'm done with you, I'll hang YOU out on display!"

"Craven coward, when the dust of justice settles, the only display for you will be behind bars!"

As a big fan of old timey radio shows, the Silver Shroud quests were perhaps my favorite next to the Cabot missions.

Haven't yet done the Shroud quests (have the outfit, on my way to the next part), but I love this idea. The mannequins arranged everywhere over the world freak me out already. And they keep moving too, I swear.

I'm almost expecting there to be like an old abandoned mannequin factory, and everytime you turn around there's a group just facing you.

Exactly! I know there were much divided opinion on voice acting etc, but this quest showed just how amazing and hilarious it can be with it :)
